"I'M ALIVE" is a series of photographs consisted of different people holding the board proclaiming they are alive. The definition of "alive" here is vague, fluid and changeable. To be alive, to many people, means as long as they are breathing and living in this world. To me, that is merely existing. To be an alive person, the quality of the soul is very important. A sad fact is that people have been working jobs they don't like 13 hours a day and 6 days a week just to make money to feed the family. What is a good life without having pleasure? How important is pleasure to us? Isn't living a process of pursuing happiness? It always makes me sad that how limited our ability is to make our own choices especially your value in this society is defined by the salary and how much money you make.
